Vimalah Patten Pillay

Vimalah is a senior financial-services and governance professional with more than four decades of executive and board-level experience across Mauritius and Africa. Her career includes leadership roles within banking institutions, corporate governance, board oversight and the execution of complex institutional projects across multiple jurisdictions.
She currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairperson of the Governance Committee of a listed Mauritian company, while also serving on its Audit Committee. Her experience brings substantial depth in governance, fiduciary oversight, financial-sector leadership, regulatory awareness and board effectiveness, supported by a strong commitment to institutional integrity, professional development and the advancement of governance standards in Mauritius and across Africa. She holds a Bachelor in Banking Services from the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
